The Physio-Control CR Plus Fully-Automatic is a high-feature, yet simple-to-use device. What separates it from its competition is the use of ClearVoice technology, escalating energy and its battery pack. Rescue scenes can be chaotic. Physio-Control uses ClearVoice technology for clear, calm instructions, which walk the user through a rescue and can be heard in any situation. While many AEDs shock at a consistent joule level, the CR Plus uses escalating power. The first shock is delivered at 200 joules, and, if needed, a second is delivered at 300, and the third and subsequent shocks are delivered at a maximum power of 360 joules. The CR Plus is the only AED that has an internal rechargeable battery, which keeps the unit charged at maximum power.
